I just saw a very impressive advert this evening on the BBC. It was basically giving a potted history of some of the more memorable technical and innovative achievements done by them over the years. Examples included the first live broadcast, first outside broadcast etc…
All was well until it was immediately followed by Master Chef! Derivative cheep TV appealing to a populist mass audience. Either someone was not concentrating when working out the schedules or they have a wicked sense of humour and are now out of a job.
Surely Living Planet or Horizon would have been a more fitting programme to follow an ad like that.
It is a funny old world at times! :-).
